Dnipropetrovsk region: SBU exposes network of anti-Ukrainian Internet-agitators

SBU officers exposed two residents of Dnipropetrovsk region who conducted the anti-Ukrainian agitation in the social networks in line of orders of the Russian special services.

The law enforcers established that the offenders disseminated propaganda on creating of the so-called “novorossiia” and the idea of ​​territorial expansion of terrorist entities “L/DNR” in the Internet.

The SBU operatives documented that the agitators were hired by the residents of the temporarily occupied Donetsk and Crimea, who introduced themselves as the security officers of the Russian Federation. The direct contact was established through the offenders’ close relatives and friends who were staying in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

The SBU officers also documented that one of the agents' tasks was to search the  pro-Russian residents to participate in the fake protest actions.

During the authorized searches, the law enforcers uncovered the computer equipment used by the offenders to disseminate the anti-Ukrainian material and the means of communication to connect with the Russian curators.

The investigative actions in the framework of criminal proceedings initiated under Article 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine are under way.
