SBU runs investigative actions at Motor Sich
SBU conducts the investigation of the criminal proceeding on sabotage (Part 1 Article 14 and Article 113 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) on the fact of preparing to commit the actions aimed at weakening the state by destroying the strategic enterprise of the PJSC Motor Sich.
According to the SBU data, the representatives of a foreign company are developing a modern plant for manufacturing the aircraft engines, for subsequent transfer of the Ukrainian production technology.
Contrary to the Ukrainian legislation, the foreigners directly concentrated the control stake of the Motor Sich shares currently held by six offshore companies and an individual.
The SBU officers in cooperation with the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine established that the sale of the control stake in the strategic facility PJSC Motor Sich to the addresses of individuals and non-resident companies was capped at below 10%, which raised suspicions that certain individuals were trying to hide the stakeholders and actual beneficial owners of the stock. At present, the representatives of the non-resident company intend to illegally concentrate the purchased stock of shares, getting over 50% stake of the board votes and gaining control over the company’s activities on military defense orders. This has been confirmed by the materials of the case.
In 2017, the court arrested the 56% stock of PJSC Motor Sich shares in the framework of the mentioned criminal proceeding.
To uncover the additional evidence, the law enforcers conducted the authorized searches at the administration of the company, the shares department and the residences of certain individuals, within criminal proceeding on April 23, 2018.
Pre-trial investigation is under way.
