SBU Program “Waiting for you at home” helped two more former militants return to peaceful life (video)

SBU Program “Waiting for you at home” helped two more former militants return to peaceful life.

Special service operatives established that in April 2014, a resident of Druzhkivka, under the influence of Russian propaganda, joined the illegal armed formations of the terrorists of the “DNR”. Being part of the illegal group, he was on duty at illegitimate checkpoints of militants near Slovyansk.

Subsequently, the man realized that the true ideals of “Russian peace” are, in fact, theft, robbery and torture. It was impossible to voluntarily leave the group - all who showed reluctance to “serve” or expressed their opinion about the criminal activity of the militants, disappeared without a trace. Escapes were possible only during the liberation of the Slavyansk by ATO forces. For nearly two years, the former militant hid from law enforcement in his hometown.

Upon learning about the SBU Program, he volunteered to meet with members of the special service and reported the committed offense.

Another Donetsk region resident used the SBU Program.

A resident of Lyman, Donetsk region, joined the “DNR” terrorist organization in 2014. He was on duty at an illegal checkpoint near Drobyshevo.

Becoming a witness to the terrible crimes on the part of his “comrades”, the man left the illegal group. After the release of Lyman by the ATO forces, he was hiding in the city for some time.

The former participant of the illegal armed formation was informed about the SBU Program "Waiting for You at Home” by his relatives and applied to the law enforcement with relevant statement.

After checking, the Security Service of Ukraine found that both residents of Donetsk region took no direct part in hostilities and did not commit any serious and especially grave crimes. As a result, the court released two former members of the illegal armed formation from criminal liability.
