SBU prevented passenger train blasting

The Security Service of Ukraine detained former police officer who had mined a railway bridge at the Pavlohrad-Lozova stage.

The officers of the SBU Office in Kharkiv Region rendered the saboteur harmless right after he planted an explosive. The perpetrator was planning to use a ten-kilogram antitank mine TM-62 using cell phone to time the explosion. The blast was set for the time of passing of passenger train “Odesa-Kostiantynivka” carrying 500 people.

The terrorist was notified of a suspicion in accordance with Article 113 (Subversion) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The investigation is under way.
